Wandering around Tolstejn Dominion

The play is organized by the voluntary Union of Communities Tolstejn (Dolní Podluží, Doubice, Horní Podluží, Chřibská, Jiřetín pod Jedlovou, Krásná Lípa, Rybniště, Varnsdorf) with the participation of the Union of Communities Sever (North) (Dolní Poustevna, Jiříkov, Lipová, Lobendava, Mikulášovice, Staré Křečany, Šluknov, Velký Šenov, Vilémov a Rumburk). The realisation of the project fulfils one of the main missions of the towns and communities of the Sluknov Hook---an effective promotion of our region most suitable for active recreation. The goal is a prosperous region which is often neglected though abounding in natural beauties and historical and technical landmarks. Towns and communities have put considerable financial means in the project and expect that business people in the region who are active in the field of tourism will participate in the play and help to fulfil the hopes of the large project that has no equals in the new history of our region.

Anyone can take part in the play on condition he or she buys a wanderer's pass. Each wanderer gets a map of the Tolstejn dominion with the pass and will visit selected places of the region marked with a banner of Vilda the Robber. On these places he or she gets a stamp in the pass for small payments (entrance tickets, snacks). 12 stamps on one sheet will be exchanged for 2 doits in the tollhouses of the dominion. On the co called commercial stops (restaurants, pensions etc.) you get a doit for any payment above 150 crowns. doits can be exchanged for bonuses in tollhouses (information centers). Bonuses are Tolstejn groschen, Lusatia herb liqueur, T-shirt with an emblem of the Tolstejn dominion.

The Tolstejn dominion offers much to be seen---museums, observation towers, landmarks, sports facilities, virgin nature and so on. We wish you good luck on your travels and fare thee well. Let the robber Vilda be your patron. If you do not know your way, come and ask in a tollhouse.
